WEBSITE DELIVERY INFORMATION

We aim where possible to deliver products using our own vehicles, as well as making use of well known parcel couriers and pallet haulage companies.

 

DELIVERY AREAS

All online orders are accepted for all mainland UK postcodes only. If you wish to order outwith the UK mainland please contact our office on sales@aitkens.co.uk or by telephone on 01977 681155.

 

DELIVERY COST

Delivery is free of charge for all orders of £500.00 (Including VAT). A standard delivery charge of £19.50 (Excluding VAT) is applicable to all orders below £500.00 (Including VAT).

 

COLLECT FROM DEPOT

We have an option in your cart to collect from one of our depots in Glasgow or Yorkshire without any charge.

After you have placed an order, please telephone the depot requested 24 hours before you intend to collect, to confirm your goods are in stock. Please make sure when you come to collect that you bring your order confirmation with you. (Goods will not be released without confirmation)

Goods are available for collection Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.

 

DELIVERY COST - DIRECT ORDERS ON ACCOUNT OR WITH DEPOT DIRECT

Delivery is free of charge for all orders of £500.00 (Excluding VAT). A standard delivery charge of £18.00 (Excluding VAT) is applicable to all orders under 100Kg. Orders 100Kg and above, a £50 Pallet Charge (Excluding VAT) will be applied on orders under £500 (Excluding VAT).

These will be sent out on our standard delivery services. Any services out with our standard delivery option will incur extra charges. Please contact the office for more details.

 

ORDERS SHIPPED FROM EXTERNAL SOURCES

For bulky or non‑stock items, we work with selected suppliers to deliver goods directly to you. This approach helps keep delivery costs low while reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Typical examples include bulk loads of top dressings, golf equipment or football goal posts.

When goods are dispatched directly from a supplier's warehouse, a Manufacturer's Carriage fee will apply, charged at the same rate passed on to us by the supplier.

 

DELIVERY LEAD TIMES

From receipt of your order we aim to deliver the goods to you within 3-5 working days. Saturdays, Sundays and official UK bank holidays are not defined as working days.

 

Note: It is your responsibility to ensure that any pesticide product for Professional use is used according to the Approved Code of Practice and that all operators are trained and certified in its use.
