Aitkens ("Aitkens" or "we") recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of our Web sites. We created the following policy guidelines with a fundamental respect for our users' right to privacy.
Information Collected by Aitkens

Aitkens collects information about users during their registration for some of our Web sites and during their participation in certain activities on our Web sites. Some activities on our Web sites, particularly viewing certain product demonstrations, require a user account and password, which are obtained by registering to view the product. Certain voluntary information is requested during registration.

Use of Information

Aitkens uses reasonable precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to us secure and to disclose this information only to responsible third parties, and then only after Aitkens receives permission from the user. This permission may be sought online.

Aitkens uses IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Using e-mail addresses provided at registration, where appropriate, Aitkens will respond with information pertaining to the original request.

Our site does not use "cookies" at this time for obtaining user preferences or other information, with the exception of resolving links to other sites. If we start to use "cookies" for any other purpose, we will revise this policy or otherwise let users know of that change.
General

Aitkens is not responsible for the content or the privacy polices of Web sites to which it may provide links. Those are links to servers maintained by other businesses and organisations. Those links are provided as a service to users. Aitkens also cannot provide any warranty about the accuracy or source of the information contained on any of those servers or the content of any file the user might download from those sites.

In the event of an unpaid account or disputed account, we will instruct our appointed debt recovery agents/solicitors to proceed with the necessary course of action to retrieve any monies due to our Company without prior consent from the customer.  Only information held that is relevant to the matter in hand will be passed to our appointed third party agents (See terms & conditions)
